It All Starts With A Vision
Our Story
Heritage Energy Company was formed in 1986 by co-owners John Kinnebrew (landman/accountant) and Kevin Byram (geologist). Heritage is comprised of two geologists, an operations team, and a seasoned land and accounting team. Heritage is well equipped to develop and manage both conventional and non-conventional oil and gas projects from start to finish. Heritage has assembled, participated in and helped manage the drilling, completion and production of over 500 wells in 5 states.
Heritage is currently very active in ongoing projects in both Louisiana and Mississippi. In 2017, John and Kevin decided to start operating their own wells and formed EGH Operating, LLC. Ian Byram (geologist/operations) joined the company shortly thereafter. EGH Operating has had success in both operating vintage wells and running a drilling campaign and now operates over 100 wells in North LA. EGH has an ongoing shallow drilling program and has drilled over 50 successful wells in 8 years.
